We are delighted to announce that, with the squawk of an American eagle, eyes wide-open and on the alert, and already with vice-like grip on day one of his life, Jackson Benjamin Smouha was delivered to Naomi and me on Friday last week at 9:30am.
For the numerically interested among you, here are the vital measurements:
- 20.5 inches / 52.5 centimetres
- 7 pounds 12 ounces / 3.51 kilograms
His eyes are a mesmerizing slate grey, and he has a powerful stare. Among his great attributes is that he is already very fair-play with his parents as he neither resembles Naomi or me. We also wonder if he really understands the full implications of his Swiss heritage, as he actually arrived several days later than his due-date. However, for those of you that know Naomi well, you know that he will very soon learn about punctuality!
