NISSIM with his son and his brothers, founded the banking house of J. N. Their residence occupied almost an entire block fronting today's 26 of July and Mohammed Farid Streets. It is said the Mosseris donated part of their garden for the construction of the Ismailia Synagogue on Maghrabi (now Adly) Street. The synagogue, which was designed by Cattaui & Matasek, was the scene of many Cattaui weddings and funerals. It is also there that Moise Cattaui Pasha sustained a serious shoulder injury while inspecting the damages that resulted from the accidental fire that took place in April 1922. Au 16 de la rue El Sakalibah dans la Hara, nous pouvons de nos jours encore voir une troisième synagogue, Elle fut construite en 1905 environ par la célèbre famille des banquiers Mosseri sur le lieu de naissance de Nessim Mosseri (né en 1848).
