Note individuelle : father Aaron died when Joseph was 10
in any case it actually explains how he grew up in poverty and how later, as was known in our family, he was too shomer-shabbath to work regular jobs and they lived in poverty all their life in Alexandria... except that he would always come up with the special meal for the holidays, being such a religious and believing person, he would manage to make miracles for the family at holiday times, though he was a bit living in his own spiritual world... We also have a small pamphlet or booklet he wrote in his beautiful handwriting "La Foi" which my nephew Orr had translated into English and uploaded on the web... We will look for it and add to our family's treasures... One more oeuvre of his, grandfather Joseph, was translating the Koran into French... wish I had access to it!
